Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky, shining brilliantly even beneath the glow of the full moon.
In Japan, it is known as Tenrōsei (the Wolf Star).
I have always felt a natural affinity between Sirius—a star that guides the way—and the wolf, a sacred creature believed to guide both people and gods.
May this wolf bring guidance, protection, and happiness to its keeper.
This artwork was created using an original dyeing technique developed from the traditional Okinawan art of Bingata.
Through this unique process, I continue to explore the spirit and symbolism of wolves, dedicating my artistic practice exclusively to their portrayal. As one of the very few artists in the world working solely with wolves through an original silk-dyeing technique inspired by Bingata, each piece reflects a lifelong dialogue with this remarkable animal.
