Three Ema artworks were created for 2026, inspired by the theme of stars. This piece features a circle formed from six-pointed stars, symbolizing the connections and bonds between people. It was created with the artist’s wish that many hopes and dreams may come true for its owner. The red cord is tied in a traditional Kanō-musubi (“wish-fulfilling knot”), a symbol of success, achievement, and good fortune. The wolf motif is considered a sacred and auspicious animal in Japan. Traditionally, wolves were believed to protect homes and farmland while guiding people safely along their path, and they have long been objects of reverence and faith.
